About the district

The Partido de Lincoln is a part of the Buenos Aires Province and is located in the north-east of the province in central Argentina. The provincial subdivision has a population of about 41,000 inhabitants in an area of 2,253 kmē (870 sq mi), and its head city is Lincoln which is located 320 km (199 mi) from Buenos Aires City.

When the partido was founded in 1865, the name Lincoln was chosen as a tribute to the recently assassinated Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States (1861 to 1865), and enactor of the Emancipation Proclamation..

Description of the flag

Lincoln has a flag which is shown and described on the municipal website. As far as I understand, the flag was chosen after contest and adopted on 23.05.2007.
Valentin Poposki 15 Dec 2007

The flag of the Partido de Lincoln was adopted in 2007, after a contest.

The field is diagonally divided sky blue and green. The sky blue color represents the sky, while green stands for the fertile land and nature.

At center a yellow crown stands for the Carnival from Lincoln. Two ears of wheat represent the agricultural production and 13 circles stand for the union between the 13 settlements of the district as a whole.
