Department flag

In 2008 by the Ordinance 20/2008 was adopted the flag of the Department of Ancasti, in the Province of Catamarca. The flag has a condor and a vase of La Aguada culture in the middle field of blue, of an olive-green - blue - red-brown vertical triband, where the middle stripe is wider.

There is only one 2nd class municipality in the department - Municipality of Ancasti, which is subdivided into 13 communes - Anquincila, El Chorro, El Huaico, El Quebrachal, El Taco, Ipizca, La Candelaria, La Majada, Los Mogotes, Navaguin, Tacana, Villa de Ancasti, and Yerba Buena.

Ancasti is 2nd class municipality in the Department of Ancasti. It has 1 952 km2, with about 3 000 inhabitants.

The municipality has a flag and logo.
