Flag

The flag shown by the book La Marina Mercante Argentina (1961) is diagonally quartered red [chief and base] and black.

The emblem shown on my image [see image] is that shown by the source but I strongly suspect that its portrayal has been hampered by the smallness of the print and that it is meant to be the same as that displayed on the funnel i.e. the thin white letters "CGC" in descending size placed as a single symbol on a black circle.
