Flag

the company is shown by the book La Marina Mercante Argentina (1961) as named José Peisci S.A. with the flag a horizontal biband flag of white over light blue with overall a light blue circle having a narrow white vertical band and being within a gold ring with this being turn surmounted by a horizontal gold arrow pointing to the hoist. The circle is thus divided into quarters with a gold "J" placed in the 1st and a gold "P" in the 4th [see image]. The initial mention by Lloyds is as José Peisci & Cia. and then it becomes José Peisci S.A. de Navegación so there may have been name changes. However another 1961 source, that of US Navy, under the name of José Peisci & Cia. shows a different flag, this time white with the emblem now a blue circle bearing a narrow white diagonal band per bend sinister and being within a gold ring with overall a horizontal gold arrow this time pointing to the fly. The letters "J" and "P" retain their positions [see image].
