"Rowing Club Argentino" (RCA) was founded on 14 April 1905 in Buenos
Aires by members of the "Buenos Aires Rowing Club" (the first rowing
club in Argentina, founded in 1873) and of the "Tigre Boat Club" (founded in 1888 as an offspring of the Buenos Aires Rowing
Club). Official regattas started on 11 November 1908. On 2 February 1935, the yachting section of the club was officially recognized.

Flag
The symbols of the RCA are prescribed in Article 4 of the club's
Statutes, last amended on 26 September 1996.
"Colours, flag and emblem.
Article 4.
The colours of the club shall be black and dark red ("punzó"); the
flag shall have the same colours arranged in two horizontal stripes,
black over dark red, with the initials of the club.
The burgee ("gallardete naútico") shall be triangular, horizontally
divided into two equal stripes, black over dark red, with the initials
of the club placed vertically joint to the hoist with alternate colours.

According to the Article 4 of the club's Statutes:
The burgee ("gallardete naútico") shall be triangular, horizontally
divided into two equal stripes, black over dark red, with the initials
of the club placed vertically joint to the hoist with alternate colours.
