The Border Police also has a special ensign. It is green with Naval ensign placed in the canton of the ensign. A new version has been used since 2005, similar to naval ensign, the lion is placed on a red square panel in the canton.

Green flag with naval ensign in the canton. I believe that this is influenced by Russian (Soviet) green ensigns, however I don't remember similar flags in the socialist era. Did I miss something?

Coast Guard

Bulgaria does not have a Coast Guard, or at least such an organization does not exist. This function is performed by the Border Police maritime units.
