About the Flag

The municipality of Mariluz (10,327 inhabitants in 2015; 43,317 ha) is located 550 km north-west of Curitiba.

Mariluz was established, as a coffee-growing colony, in 1953 by Francisco Antônio da Silva and José Alfredo de Almeida, from Marília. The first mass was celebrated on 6 August 1956.

The flag of Mariluz is blue with a white-red-white cross, charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms inscribed in a white lozenge.
