About the Flag of the Regional Council of Radiology Technicians - Rio de Janeiro

The flag will be manufactured in satin/velvet (for internal use) or polyester (for external use), measuring 90 cm x 130 cm in green. In the center, in a large yellow star, the arms of the council are surrounded by a white ring with the words “Conselho Nacional dos Técnicos em Radiologia” printed in black, Arial font. Below is a green ribbon bearing the abbreviation CONTER. The center of a star is yellow. The arms are made of a smaller yellow circle bears the internal part of the three-armed symbol representing the presence of ionizing radiation, having at its center a baton entwined by a serpent, surrounded by a cog wheel, also in yellow, below which is the date 1985. The colors and the dimensions of the three-armed symbol follow the standards established for the N.E 3,01 - CNEM. The symbols and the colors of the flag possess a meaning:
Three-armed symbol - the international symbol that indicates the presence of ionizing radiation;
Baton - the professional standard, knowledge represents scientific technician and radiology;
Serpent - represents science, wisdom and transmission of the knowledge;
Atom - energy in all its forms. It symbolizes the use of energy in areas such as Radiology;
Cog wheel - the symbol of the industry;
Star - the top-level agency of the system, CONTER represents. The arms of the shape symbolize the expansion of the central administration to all the regions of our territory, through its regional council

The year where the profession was regulated by Law nº 7394/85 was 1985.

Colors - green: adopted for all the professions in the health area. In heraldry, it symbolizes honor, civility, courtesy, abundance and joy; yellow - symbolizes the brightness of the light, culture, wealth, power and glory, consolidating the authority with the bases of the wisdom; white - symbolizes peace, friendship, work, prosperity, pureness and faith; purple - symbolizes devotion, faith, moderation, chastity, dignity, abundance, wealth, authority and power.
