Just returned from meetings at the Université de Moncton. At both the north and south gates, the flags of Canada, New Brunswick, Acadians, and the university fly. The university flag consists of a simple logo of five parallelograms on a white field. The two upper ones are gold, the three lower ones are blue. Since the Université de Moncton has three campuses, I am guessing the three blue bars might represent those.

Well, I had a cyber-wander around, just for fun, and found the official 'house-style' guide (PDF file). The PDF prescribes the colours of the logo as yellow: Pantone 131 and blue: Pantone 288. CMYK equivalents are given and also RGB ('RVB') as yellow : 215%:165%:46% and blue: 32%:76%:138%. The "%"s are [sic], though they don't make much sense. Treating them as proportions of 255 gives colours which are very similar - but not identical - to what appears in the PDF documents.

However, it's all pretty academic (no pun intended), since I also found www.umoncton.ca/udem/documents/RapportAnnuel2006.pdf which includes a pretty picture of the flag flying. It shows colours which are different from the prescribed colours and the colours as they actually appear in the style guide document.

I think the logo is a highly stylised "U" over "M".
