Background

The Radical Party (PR - Partido Radical) was a Chilean political party formed on 23 December 1863 as a split in the Liberal Party. It merged on 18 August 1994 with the Chilean Social Democracy Party (SDCH - Partido Socialdemocracia Chilena) to form the Social Democrat Radical Party (PRS - Partido Radical Socialdemócrata).
