Shield Or, a flame Gules with three tongues, flanked by two firs Vert, one in dexter chief and one in sinister base.
Meaning:
The local seal from 1820 displayed a crayfish in an oval shield. As nobody knew the meaning of the crayfish, this pattern had been forgotten. The Stuttgart Archives suggested other ams in 1926, the draft showed a burning branch, alluding to local fire clearance (Southern German: geschwendet) in the past. The municipality adopted the current pattern in 1926.
