Mount and bishop's croziers together are a canting ensemble. The croziers also allude to the Bishopric of Bamberg and the Bishopric of Würzburg. The scales are an attribute of St. Michael and are referring to Michelsberg Monastery in Bamberg, which had been the local ruler in the 18th century.
