Adopted 29.11.1989, according to Dirk Schönberger's Administrative Divisions of the World website. From Ralf Hartemink's International Civic Arms website:
The arms were granted on August 16, 1976. The four lozenges symbolise the four historical territories: Schwarzwald, Heckengäu, Kraichgau and Stromberg. The wavy bar symbolises the Enz river.Literature: Stadler 1964-1971 [and Linder and Olzog 1996?].
