White-blue with the arms. This county is situated on the northern shore of Lake Constance or Bodensee. Sources: Falko Schmidt, arms from Linder and Olzog 1996.

From Ralf Hartemink's International Civic Arms website:
The arms were granted on February 27, 1976. The base of the shield symbolises the Bodensee, Germany's largest lake on the border with Switzerland. The wheel is derived from the arms of the Lords von Markdorf and Raderach. At the same time it also symbolises the present industry in the county.Literature: Linder and Olzog 1996.
