Ebhausen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale of Or and Sable, superimposed by an abased fess Gules, in dexter chief an axe sable in pale.
Meaning:
The municipality was established by a merger of Ebershardt, Ebhausen, Rotfelden and Wenden in 1975. The shield parted per pale with fess was displayed on seals of the reeves of Wöllhausen, a namesake part of Ebhausen, and their relatives, the reeves of Vogtsberg (i.e. reeve's mountain). The reeves of Vogstberg had been local rulers of Wenden. The axe is taken from the arms of the Wetzel kin of Ebhausen, who had the fiefdom of Ebhausen and estates in Ebershardt in the late Middle Ages. Furthermore the axe is referring to forest clearances since the early Middle Ages. The tinctures are those of the arms of former Rotfelden municipality.
