Amerdingen Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, issuant from a kettle Or a saint, nimbed Or and dressed Argent with an additional scapular Sable.
Meaning:
The saint is St. Vitus together with his attribute the kettle, in which he was boiled. He is patron saint of the local church. The tinctures are those of Bayern.
