It is a black-yellow-black vertical tricolour, divided 1:4:1 with coat of arms shifted to the top within the yellow stripe.

The shield is mantled; above right is a golden issuant crozier in a blue field; above left is a silver sword issuant set in pale in a red field; beneath are three black houses ordered 1:2 in a silver field.
Meaning:
The crozier is reminding on a former monastery of the Cistercians. The sword is an attribute of St. Katherine of Alexandria, being the local patron saint; the houses are canting elements.

Hausen had 405 inhabitants in 2015 and covers 4.3 km². The municipality was first mentioned in 1238.
