The shield is silver; issuant from base a green mountain, charged with a silver 6-spokes wheel filled red; issuant from mountain a red, sinister-facing demi-griffin.
Meaning:
The griffin is alluding to Greifenstein Castle. In the middle ages the village had been impawned to the burgers of the castle for a long time. The mount is representing the arboreous mountain crowned by the ruins of the castle. Finally the wheel is alluding to the Archbishops of Mainz, the former rulers.
