Mackenrode Coat of Arms

The shield is blue, charged with a silver building in black half timber, having two gables and a tower with embowed spire. The base is golden charged with two green oak leaves in saltire accompanied by two impending acorns of the same.
Meaning:
The building probably is the local church of St. Martin. Leaves and acorns are representing the Eichsfeld region. Oak leaves and the curch had already been on former seals until 1953 and from 1994 to 2001.
