Sexau Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Or a bend Gules, at sinister Argent, on a triplemount Vert issuant from base a seedling Vert with six acorns of the same.
Meaning:
In 1344 the Margraves of Baden-Hachberg bought the village, which was acquired by the Margraves of Baden-Baden in 1415. The first court seal from 1722 already displayed the current pattern, the bend as Badenian arms and the seedling as a local symbol. The number six of acorns is punning and alluding to the name as "Sechsau" (= six meadows). The tinctures of the sinister half were fixed in 1906.

The arms were adopted by the municipality in 1913. The banner was approved on 8 August 1979 by the county administration, published in GABl 255/1980.
