Löffingen Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, two wooden spoons Or in saltire, in chief an impending fleur de lis Or.
Meaning:
Löffingen was ruled by Counts of Fürstenberg and was in the 13th century mentioned as a market town. It had probably been a city around 1300. The city seals with prints from 1325 and 1538 already displayed a fleur de lis, but flanked by two spoons (German: Löffel) in bend and bend sinister. The spoons are considered to be canting elements. At least since the 18th century the city seals displayed the current pattern. Otto Hupp (1925) displayed the arms in Badenian tinctures with a white fleur de lis. The current tinctures were introduced in 1963.

Banner and arms were approved 7 January 1982 by the county administration, published in GABl 558/1983. Bicolours, probably being plain, had been in use since the 18th century.
