Aidhausen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per stepped gable; above parted again per stepped gable of Gules, Argent and Vert; beneath Argent a facetted cross moline Sable.
Meaning:
The current municipality was established in 1978 by a merger of Aidhausen proper, Friesenhausen, Happertshausen, Kerbfeld and Nassach. The partition per stepped gable is referring to the Franconian half timber houses. The cross moline is taken from the family arms of the Barons of Dalberg, who acquired village and castle of Friesenhausen in 1729. The tinctures silver and red are those of the Bishopric of Würzburg, to which the area historically belonged. Nassach was acquired in 1353 by the Cistercian Sonnefeld Nunnery, after the dissolution of the nunnery in 1525 by Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha and finally in 1920 by Bayern. The tinctures silver and green are those of the Saxonian exclave of Nassach. The green colour is also stressing the rural character.
