Schollbrunn Coat of Arms

Shield Vert parted by a Latin cross Or, in base superimposed by an oak leaf Argent, on dexter and sinister chief a heraldic rose Argent seeded Or.
Meaning:
The roses are taken from the family arms of the Counts of Wertheim. The are reminding on Countess Elisabeth of Wertheim who had bought Schollbrunn in 1314 and donated it in 1328 to the local charterhouse. The abbey had been the sepulchre of the counts and was dissolved during the Protestant Reformation but re-established by the Catholic Count Dieter of Löwenstein-Wertheim.The possessions of the family were parted between its Catholic and Protestant branch. Abbey and county had the joined cognisance in the village until 1803. The cross and the green colour are symbolising the charterhouse, the leaf the location in the Spessart, a forest. It is also alluding to the fact that the village was established by forest clearance around 1200.
