Kröning Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a pale Argent charged in base with a mount Vert and issuant from mount a fir of the same, at dexter a clay jug Argent, at sinister a fleur-de-lis Argent.
Meaning:
Tree and mountain are symbolising the location in the Kröning Forest. The jug is referring to local pottery, which had been an important sideline for the local farmers, especially in winter. Today blue clay still is depleted for the production of roof tiles. The fleur-de-lis is alluding to the Augustine Niederviehbach Nunnery, founded in 1296, and St. Mary, its patron saint. The tinctures silver and blue are those of the Wittelsbach kin.
