The logo is shaped like a white shield with broad black bordure. At the upper edge is an embowed black inscription "Neuhausen" (1st line, bigger) "im Erzgebirge" (2nd line), beneath is a black silhouette with three towers, superimposed by a beige shield displaying a lion rampant, parted of red and green, which is the heraldic animal of the Lords of Schönberg, former local rulers.
