Coat of arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield has a base showing waves of blue and silver (= white). The shield is divided per pale. The dexter side shows in a golden (= yellow) field a green branch of linden tree with four leaves. The sinister side shows in a red field a silver (=white) Latin cross topped by a golden (= yellow) coronet.
Meaning:
The number of leaves is the number of former municipalities being nowadays parts of Schlagsdorf. The wavy base is symbolizing water riches. The cross with coronet is alluding to the former Bishopric of Ratzeburg.
