Burghaslach Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, on a mount issuant Vert a castle and a church, both Argent with roofs Gules.
Meaning:
Burghaslach gained the rank of a market town before 1965. Originally the village was a fiefdom of the Vestenberg kin as vassals of the Counts of Hohenlohe-Speckfeld, but in 1687 the Counts of Castell gained the complete control. They were able to expand their estates and they ruled finally a lordship with Burghaslach as capital in the 18th century. The first local seal was made at the beginning of the 19th century. It displayed castle and church in a crowned shield. It was considered to be canting and is a representation of the Baroque castle of the Castell kin.
