Karlshuld Coat of Arms

Shield Sable three bulrushes Or superimposed by an abased fess wavy Argent, chief Argent charged wirh three throughout lozenges Gules in fess.
Meaning:
Baron Karl of Eckart founded the Karlshuld Settlement in the Donau Marshes by settling colonists since 1790, in order to cultivate the swampy soil. The baron is name giver of the settlement. The lozenges are taken from his family arms. The fess wavy is representing the Donau River (Danube) and the local riches of water. The bulrushes and the black colour are symbolising the location in the swampy marshes.
