Karlskron Coat of Arms

Shield Sable a lion rampant issuant Or, armed and tongued Gules and holding a coronet Or by his forepaws, chief Argent charged with three trefoils Vert.
Meaning:
The trefoils are symbolising agriculture as most important business line. The lion is a differentiation of the arms of the Palatine Counts from the Wittelsbach kin. The ribbon-built village developed since 1790 by methodical cultivation of the surrounding marshes and settling of colonists from the Palatinate during the rule of Elector Karl Theodor of Palatinate. The elector is also name giver of the village. On occasion of his visit in 1794 a monument was built to honour him. The coronet (German: Krone) is a canting element.
