Burgthann Coat of Arms

Shield quartered of Argent and Sable, in centre an inescutcheon Or charged with an eradicated fir Vert.
Meaning:
The fir (German: Tanne) is canting and furthermore reminding on the Lords of Thann, whose ancestral seat had been the local castle, finished in 1260. The quartered shield is representing the Burgraves of Nürnberg from the Zollern kin. Burgthann had been a fiefdom of the kin between 1218 and 1803.
