Kollnburg Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess of Argent and Gules a fess lozengy of Argent and Azure, chief parted per fess embattled in counterchanged tinctures.
Meaning:
The lozengy fess is referring to the Kollnburg kin, also known as Kallenberg or Chalmberg, who lived in the village from the 12th until the 14th century. They were succeeded by the Nußberg kin, who owned village and castle from 1363 until 1472 and again from 1531 until 1551. Both kins had been in service of the Counts of Bogen and thus used their lozengy shield. When the counts died out, the lozengy shield was adopted by the Wittelsbach kin in 1242. The embattled fess probably is representing the local fortification. The partition per pale refers to the arms of the Kollnburg kin. But nothing is told about the tinctures red and white.
