Prien Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a broken lower bladed demi wheel Azure, mantle Azure, at dexter charged with a falcon Or armed an tongued Gules, at sinister with two croziers issuant Or in saltire.
On 29 October 1903 Prince Regent Luitpold of Bayern granted the first arms. They displayed St. Catherine, standing on a base Vert with her attributes sword and broken bladed wheel, holding an inescutcheon, displaying on a triplemount Vert a falcon Or. The arms were changed in 1968. The saint was replaced by her most known attribute. The croziers were added, alluding to the Herrenchiemsee Convent. The falcon is alluding to the Counts of Falkenstein, who founded the town and had been reeves in the 12th century.

The (plain) banner is in use since 1910, the current banner and arms were approved on 29 January 1968 by Minister of Interior of Bayern.
