Bad Wörishofen Coat of Arms

Shield enhanced parted per fess, above Argent a linden branch Vert in fess, beneath Azure a fess wavy Argent.
Meaning:
The branch is symbolising the surrounding forests. The fess wavy is stressing the status of a spa resort. It is also alluding to Reverend Sebastian Kneipp (1821 - 1897), a forefather of the naturopathic medicine movement, who worked in the spa since 1835. Wörishofen gained the prefix "Bad" (= spa) in 1920 and the status of a city in 1949.

The banner has never been approved officially. The arms were granted on 27 May 1915 by King Ludwig III of Bayern.
