Treuen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a wolf rampant Gules, at sinister Gules a fess Or over all a knife Argent in pale
Treuen gained city rights in 1390. Wolf and fess are taken from the arms of the Lords of Mylau, who owned the city in the 15th century. The knife is an attribute of St. Bartholomew, the local patron saint.
