Description of flag:
The flag was divided per chevron, pointing to the hoist into black and white. On the black is a white inscription "Sp.R." over "V." over "1878". On the white is a black chevron also pointing to the hoist.
Spindlersfelder Ruderverein 1878 was the oldest predecessor of nowadays club.

It is a white flag divided by two horizontal red stripes. Between the stripes in the centre of flag is a red disc. The flag has a white squarish canton, fimbriated black containing a black "S" superimposing a slightly bigger black "T".

Name: Berliner Ruderclub Sport v.1883

Description of flag:
It was white flag with a flyend divided by two horizontal blue lines. Between the lines was a blue 6-point star with a white disc in its centre, which was slightly shifted to the fly. At the hoist there was about 1/3 of total width separated by a vertical blue line. The upper half of this part showed in a white field, fimbriated blue, a blue inscription "B.R.C." over "18S83". The "S" had double size. The lower half was a four times four chess board of blue and white squares.

It was a white flag divided by two horizontal black stripes. Between the stripes in the centre of flag was a black 6-point star. The flag had a white canton, fimbriated black, with a black serifed capital "B".

The flag was the same like that one of "Borussia" but the "B" was replaced by the chess board of "Sport" but this time black and white.

Finally Spindlerfelder Ruderverein Sturmvogel gegr.1878 and Berliner Ruder-Club Sport-Borussia merged in 1962, forming the new Ruderverein Berlin von 1878 eV.
The blue stripe of the former was replaced by a red one; and a black annulet, symbolizing the latter was added to the blue and red ones of the former.
