On 2 April 2017, user Cucalambe Del Cerro posted to FOTW's Facebook page a graphic about San Pedro de Macorís province in the Dominican Republic. The graphic contained a map of the province and its place within the Dominican Republic, the coat of arms of the province, the reported flag of the province, as well as statistical information like land area, population, capital city, and municipalities within the province, along with the comment, "FLAG & SHIELD OF SAN PEDRO DE MACORIS PROVINCE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, 'LA HISPANOLA' ISLAND, GREATER ANTILLES, CARIBBEAN SEA." There was no additional information regarding the source material for the depiction of the flag, and the post prompted no discussion or comments.
The provincial flag is shown on the graphic as a horizontal tricolor of gold-red-dark blue. Randy Young, 31 July 2020
