The flag of the JAC can be seen draped in the background of a photograph associated with an online news article. The flag appears to feature the agency's logo centered on a white field. The logo has the letters "JAC" in blue capital letters. Below the acronym and toward the hoist are three sweeping arcs of blue, red, and blue with white field in between as a fimbriation. Below the acronym and toward the fly is the name of the agency in smaller blue letters, with the name of the country in even smaller blue letters below that. Randy Young, 31 August 2015
The Junta de Aviación Civil (JAC, Civil Aviation Board) is an agency created by Law No. 491-06 in 2006 for the purpose of determining and implementing commercial airline policies, regulating the economics of air transportation, and advising the President on all matters related to commercial aviation in the Dominican Republic. The JAC also oversees the operations and regulations governing the Aviation Accidents Investigation Committee (CIAA), similar to the US National Transportation Safety Board.
