Photographs online tend to show a couple variations of the PRO CONSUMIDOR flag. The flag seen most often (one example can be seen here) features the blue, green, and white spherical logo of the agency on a white field. The shades of blue and green tend to vary, possibly based on the manufacturer of the flags. Beneath the sphere in black, capital, serif letters are the words "PRO CONSUMIDOR." Beneath those words, in smaller, black, capital, sans serif letters, is the full name of the agency in two rows. Randy Young, 5 August 2015
The second version of the flag, seen most often in the background behind the seated director of PRO CONSUMIDOR, also features the spherical logo on a white field. Beneath the logo, however, are blue letters spelling out a shortened version of the agency's name: "Instituto Nacional de los Derechos del Consumidor." Randy Young, 5 August 2015
The Instituto Nacional de Protección de los Derechos del Consumidor (PRO CONSUMIDOR, National Institute for the Protection of Consumer Rights) was established by the General Law for the Protection of Consumer Rights No. 358-05 on 9 September 2005. It is an independent executive agency responsible for "establishing and regulating policies, standards and procedures necessary for the effective protection of consumer rights in the Dominican Republic."
