Description

Horizontally striped green, yellow and light blue, proportions 5+2+5. Colours from the arms. Ratio 2:3. The green stripe represents the laurel tree (canting, llorer) and the blue one represents the castle of Llorenç which gave birth to the town, both shown on the coat-of-arms. Flag adopted 27th October 1988. Source for image and text: Fluvià 2001.

It is noteworthy that most shades of blue in Fluvià 2001 are described as simply 'blue' (blau) even though they are illustrated as light, medium and dark blue. However, the bottom stripe of Llorenç del Penedès is officially described as blau clara, 'light blue'.
