Explanation of the flag

The Faroese Confederation of Sports & Olympic Committee (Ítróttasamband Føroya) is the main sports committee in the Faroe Islands. They are not a recognized NOC but do have a recognized NPC and are allowed to compete in different sports federations as their own nation, such as FIFA. Founded in 1939 (Olympic Committee in 1982: https://isf.fo/faroese-confederation-of-sports-olympic-committee/), the organization uses a white flag with its logo in the center (https://ssf.fo/2016/03/07/uppskot-fyri-logtingid-at-marka-1-2-mio-av-jattanini-til-isf-til-altjoda-virksemi/).
