Grand Charolais (40,136 inhabitants in 2018; 94,190 ha ha; 44 municipalities), was created in 2017 as the merger of the former Communautés de communes Digoin Val de Loire, Paray-le-Monial and Charolais.

Grand Autunois Morvan

Grand Autunois Morvan (35,592 inhabitants in 2018; 125,230 ha; 55 municipalities), was created in 2014 as the merger of the former Communautés de communes Autunois, Arroux Mesvrin, and Vallée de la Drée. It was joined in 2017 by the former Communauté de communes Beuvray-Val d'Arroux and several municipalities from the former Communauté de communes Monts et Vignes.
