History of Sarich

M. Sarich created in 1946 a company to serve lines from Marseilles and Port-Vendres to Bastia and Île-Rousse (Corsica) and Algiers. Sarich operated two small tankers, MS Villerville and Samarine.
Sold to Boersma in 1952, MS Villerville went down on 11 August 1952 with all hands between Corsica and Marseilles. Sold in 1951 and renamed Lucia-Alma, MS Samarine burned and ran aground in Augusta (Sicily) on 19 January 1961.
