Montrose is one of only four towns in Scotland to have two registered flags. The town's civic flag is white with a red rose in the
centre. The religious banner is dark red with St Peter on his cross (upside down as mentioned above), wearing a loin cloth, but with his keys on a belt, all in natural colours.
