Pilot's flag

The last release of Album des Pavillons [pay00] does not show a specific flag for a pilot. However, a specific pilot's flag did exist in the past.

Album des Pavillons, edition 1995 [pie95], shows the pilot's flag as blue, in proportion 2:3, with a white cross and a white borderfollows the same white cross.

Flaggenbuch [neu92] shows a similar flag, but in proportion 9:11. The specification give the width of the white border as 2/9 of the flag height and the width of the white cross as 1/9 of the flag height.

The flag shown in National Geographic [gmc17] has a larger border and a thinner cross.

Webster's New International Dictionary [w6h24] shows a completely different flag, blue with a large yellow border.

Port Captain's flag

Album des Pavillons, edition 1995 [pie95], shows the port Captain's flag similar to the pilot's flag, but with an anchor inscribed in a blue circle placed in the middle of the flag. The flag is no longer shown in the next release of Album des Pavillons.
