Flag of Čađavica

The symbols of Čađavica are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Čađavica (text), adopted on 13 July 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published in the Municipality official gazette Službeni glasnik Općine Čađavica, No. 7.

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, and approved by the Ministry of Administration / Central State Office for Administration before 2006.

The flag is described in Article 6 of the Statutes.

The flag of the Municipality of Čađavica is of a single colour, red, with a ratio of length to width of 2:1, in accordance with the legal prescriptions. In the centre of the flag, at the crossin point of the diagonals is the coat of arms of the Municipality of Čađavica.

The flag is used either with (photo) or without (photo) a yellow outline around the coat of arms.

The coat of arms is described in Article 5 of the Statutes.

The coat of arms of Čađavica, designed by the heraldic rules, is the historical coat of arms of the Municipality of Čađavica.
The coat of arms of Čađavica is in a semi-circular shield shape, featuring on a green field silver/white tools crossed per saltire, a pitchfork, a rake, a scythe, in the bottom a golden/yellow ploughshare.

The coat of arms is "Vert a rake in pale, a pitchfork and a scythe in saltire all argent and in base a ploughshare or".
Čađavica was granted in 1852 market rights. The coat of arms may have been granted at the same time. Certainly it looks similar in style to many coat of arms granted to agricultural progressivist settlements in the Hungarian part of the Habsburg Monarchy at the time.

In the 1990s, a light blue flag was used with a different coat of arms, "Per fess with a bar argent chief azure a mullet argent and base vert a ploughshare or".
The weekly Virovitićki list (Nadoknaditi desetljea zaostajanja, 5 July 1996) reports that during the celebrations of Sts. Peter and Paul on 29 June, the symbols, "designed after a historical seal", were consecrated.
