Description of the flag

A black and amber vertical bicolour (the county colours) with a centred shield, horizontally divided in three, the top and bottom ermine, the middle showing three white shapes (sheaves?) on black, and quartered white and amber.  The name KILKENNY is arched above, and Cill Chainnigh below.

This "county flag" is used by supporters of Gaelic Athletics (Gaelic Football, Hurling etc.) teams. There are as many versions of these as there are manufacturers, and none of these have official status. What is consistent is the county colours.
