Pardes Hanna, a former colony, was named after Hanna, the
daughter of Baron Me'ir Nayhan Rotschild of London, was founded
in 1929. In 1939 the nearby colony of Meged was incorporated into
it. It Became Local Council in 1949 and got its own emblem. and in 1969 was
united with Karkur.
Karkur lands were acquired in 1912 and in 1913 a small group
settled there. The colony didn't boost and in 1925, part of the
land was given for the establishment of a Moshav beside the
colony. It also had its own emblem.
