Acceded to the Union of India on April 7, 1948, Founded in 1806 by the Afghan nobleman, Fa'iz Talab Khan

"Since 1940, the Principality of Pataudi has a rectangular flag composed of three horizontal bands in the colors (from the top): green, yellow and red, to replace the older flag which was dark green with the Arms in its center in yellow."
