The city emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 1955 by Notice No 33 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a maroon city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 五 Go of Gojo in a form of Mt. Kongo. It represents a surge, a development and a concord of the citizen.
