The city emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 1967 by Notice No 169 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a black city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized katakana クラ Kura of Kurashiki. The circle symbolizes a solidarity and a reconciliation of the citizen. The wings represent an image of the major urban city of Setouchi economic zone  which seeks for a livable ideal city in harmony with an industrial culture and a tourism and makes a leap forward and develop.

Funao Town / 船穂町

The flag of the former town of Funao was white with mark. The town is now, from 2005, part of the city of Kurashiki.
